Recently I started a new job. However this job also counts as an internship because I am finally a senior! I cannot beleive I have already completed not just one degree but now two. In a few more months I will have my masters degree in fashion merchandising and retail management. I guess you could say I am a master of fashion now. Anyways, this new job is at La Belle Bridal which is a local bridal botique located in Pennsylvania. The daily routine changes day to day depending on if there is appointments or not. At La Belle I work at the front desk and was appointed creative director. What this means is I will check in brides for their appointments, ring them out, take phone calls, etc. To many it would seem like I am just a secretary but there is a job many do not see behind the scenes. I get to create content for all of the shops social media; design flyers, coupons, etc.; set up the window displays and style the mannequins; as well as help decorate the shop for each season as well as for prom. Being in charge of prom is one of the main tasks I have at the store which coincides with a "project" for my internship. Overall, the work environment while it can get hectic during busier seasons is laid back because of the friendly and inviting environment my boss created. Not only are my thoughts and ideas taken into account but so are the other workers as well as the customers. La Belle Bridal is a step above the rest and makes a bride's experience as easy as saying "I do".
